After the success of this event we arranged with popular Leamington student pub Robbin’s Well to run a fundraising night for the Brazilian surfing NGO in ‘Rio Breaks.’ We screened the film in the pub then joined forces with popular student night Nana’s Palace to provide music afterwards. We called it Latin Palace and the night was a huge success, raising over £200.

BA Film Rush - Argentina July 2011

The Buenos Aires Film Rush was a project I devised to help launch the Argentina Independent's new multimedia section. It involved teams of film makers being given one day to shoot and edit a three minute film that included the three elements we revealed to them on the day. I came up with the idea for the event, did all of the promotion and organisation for the event and also helped present the films in Spanish at the screening. It was a great success, with over 100 people taking part. You can see the entries on the Indy's youtube channel HERE or click 'read more' for all of the promotional material in English and Spanish.

Feedback from Flatpack
I absolutely loved Flatpack Festival. To get this feedback from the founder Ian Francis was the icing on the cake:
hello Alex,
Just belatedly caught up with your Flatpack coverage, and wanted to say thanks for taking so much care over it all - really nice to be written up so thoughtfully!
(We had plenty of full-time journalists do a far lazier job)
